Update

Been a while since I posted anything.So here goes..:)
Spring Break was good we were able to take our kids to Crescent City and stay on a house boat (that was quite an experience :) We were only able to stay a couple of days before getting rained out.But still enjoyable.My "smart" husband did get our van stuck in the sand at the beach...this after not listening to me screaming "DON'T GO THAT WAY" And him failing to listen to me as usual! So I yanked the kids out of the van and told him that we weren't coming back until he got it un- stuck,then the kids and I walked the beach line for a while only to come back and find out that he did get us out only he hit the back of the truck of the guy who was pulling us out with our van! Oh well that's men for you!!!But I didn't let it spoil our fun.I don't know why I am telling this story :) This is only one of the many "interesting adventures" we had in the 3 days time we were there but I would be typing all night if I decided to go on with explaining this :) So I won't. Anyhoo....I am glad to have the kids back in school...I have gotten my spring cleaning done and am getting ready to take a vacation by MYSELF!!...Yes it is true!!!Well, I guess I am bringing Zedikiah too.But I am am going to visit my mom in Az and I am SOOOO excited! I am in desprate need of some time "mommy" time.We leave in 12 days and I am counting down every minuet!! We will be gone for 5 days and I have promised myself that I am not going to spend it worrying about my kids (we will see if I can actually do this) But I will post about the trip when I get home.In the meantime.....Whishing everyone a Happy Happy Easter!!!

Ammon's baptism

Ammon's baptism really was beautiful! I am so proud of my little man.As we were driving home he said "Mom , I have a really good feeling about being baptized" I am glad that he was able to feel the spirit.Brielle also did a wonderful job singing her song.There is such a joy that comes form her when she is singing and you can feel that.I did have to sit there and hold her hand but I was grateful to be able to share that moment with her and am sooo proud of her.The kids are growing up so fast it's wonderful yet kind of sad to watch them take all these new steps in their lives.But I am very blessed to have such great children!

Camping in the living room

So Jake and I were scratching our heads last night when we both knew we wanted to do something fun with the kids,But with a really tight budget and not the best of weather..our options were limited.So we decided..what the heck..lets go camping in the living room! We pulled out our very large tent (which took up the WHOLE living room) and the boys helped mom set it up while dad ran to the store to pick up some goodies.We all snuggled up in the tent with our blankets made some popcorn and roasted some smores over the stove top.And watched Journey to the center of the earth.(Love that movie!) Our night was not without a little drama when Brielle got popcorn stuck in her teeth and decided that screaming it out was her only opotion. But all in all it turned out to be a pretty good night.There's nothing better than just being able to hang out together. So many of us take these little things for granted......

Finally

Ok...so finally I have decided to start a blog.I have been wanting to for a long time but have been to lazy.So after a full day of figuring this out and now a very messy house and 5 neglected and cranky children ,I have at least made a start.Check out the kid's pages on the side.I am not very good at this kind of thing so have patience with me:) I currently do not have a camera so until I do, there probably wont be many pictures on the front page.I am proud of myself for even getting this far!! Time to log off now and take a break.....until next time.....
